"Pal Joey"

Photo by Kat H. poem by Gigi Ann
Pal Joey is Tony's doggie, he likes to wag his tail.
He likes to go for drives in the truck,
to help Grandpa Tony get the mail.
He sets on his seat so big and so smart,
but when he gets home he likes to dart
around in the yard and hide behind the cart.
That's my Pal Joey he has a piece of my heart!

Joey was born on April 26, 2000, he lived a happy life, he  travel throughout the United States. But sadly he left us on August 18, 2016. He was 16 years old and 4 months. We still miss him. Like the poem says, he will always have a piece of my heart.

"Gertrude Recalls"

Poem by Gigi Ann
Gertrude recalls
that she was among
the first ones;
to dance,
to dip,
to do the
grapevine slip,
or was it the slide?
The electric
was the slide
the grapevine
has no slip or slide
the grapevine goes
from side to side
along the hall, as
Gertrude recalls.

"Fall Into Reading"

Fall is here...
Time to "Fall Into Reading."
Find a shady nook...
Curl up with a good book.
Kick off your shoes...
Shake off those blues.
And "Fall Into Reading"...
 Flying off into another world.

"Snacks"

Photo and verse by Gigi Ann

Cookies, roses, and lace.
What could be better than cookies for a snack?
Carrot Cake smothered in creme cheese frosting.

"Good Morning Sunshine"

Photo and poem by Gigi Ann
Quietly sipping my morning cup of tea
The sunrise quietly creeps over the rooftops
Silhouetted trees quietly waving; "Good Morning Sunshine."

"Blowing Bubbles"

Photo & Poem by Gigi Ann

Blowing Bubbles in the air
As a child I stood and stared
Perfect round they hit the ground
Then disappeared never to be found.

Crystal clear with Rainbow glow
Drifting quietly to and fro
OH! how I wanted them to last
POP! it's over, it's in the past.

"Edge Of Tomorrow"

poem by gigi ann

Standing on the edge of tomorrow
We kissed after we said our I do's
He whispered, I do, I really do love you
As we stood on the edge of tomorrow.

Now that tomorrow is here
We are remembering all the years
And as he kissed me he whispered
After all these years
I do, I really do love you.

My favorite tree
Shivering in the breezes
My heart longs for summer.
