"Sweet Sleep"

poem by gigi ann
O' Sweet Sleep Where Art Thou?
I'm lying here waiting for you.
Please come home,
I'm longing for you.
Why did you leave me here all alone?
What did I do to make you leave me?
Please, come back to me
Sweet Sleep.
I'm longing for you
To wrap your soft quiet
Arms around me and
Make the Shadows of My Mind
Be Still.

I wrote this one night in the wee small hours of the morning. All I wanted  was a few hours of sleep.

No explanation necessary, Gigi Ann. Your words said it all.

I like your candle, very pretty. This is a nice poem and I can relate to the not being able to sleep. Especially now that the nights are so warm.
